  My wife and I are over the road truck drivers so it's not very often that we are able to try a new restaurant and sometimes when we do we regret ever stopping.
  So we were on I295 when we seen a sign for Roma Italian restaurant and we decided to stop. What an experience. We were greeted with a cheerful smile when we walked in. The waitress was very pleasant happy and never stopped smiling. From the appetizers dinner then desserts everything was excellent. It was definitely worth the stop.
  So if you find yourself traveling through Virginia near Petersburg on I295 at exit 3 Roma is 2 miles off the interstate, stop in you will not be disappointed. ENJOY

  This restaurant was recommended by the front desk clerk at a local hotel for "real" Italian food. Walked in and found the place to not be busy. Stood at the unoccupied receptionist stand that had a sign stating "Please wait to be seated". And there I waited for five minutes without one solitary employee acknowledging my existence! The guy working the oven and grill just looked up at me when I walked in and never said a word! Two waitresses walked by me and never said a word nor even smiled at me! Needless to say, I took the clue that neither I nor my money was welcome there and departed. I ended up going back into town and found the other recommended Italian restaurant called The Mad Italian Pasta & Steak House and was treated like a king to a wonderful meal of baked lasagna and even received a 10% discount on my meal due to staying at the Country Inn & Suites. The waitress was super-pleasant! Don't waste your time and money at Roma; go instead to Mad Italian where they know how to treat a customer!
